Roehr 1250sc, 2011

Roehr 1250sc, 2011

The Roehr 1250sc is the fastest and most powerful American made production sport bike. The specially developed supercharged version of the HD Revolution engine provides 180hp.
The power, combined with an innovative Bi-metal composite beam frame, top quality cycle parts and sleek european styling, results in a motorcycle that redefines the American performance bike.
Handcrafted, exclusive, fast and beautiful, a true American thoroughbred.

The Features
  • - American Performance Motorcycle.
  • - Innovative BiMetal composite beam frame
  • - Combines power, performance and beauty
  • - Specially developed 180HP supercharged version of the Harley Davidson 1250cc

Revolution engine

The Roehr Supercharging System (RSS)
The specially developed Roehr Supercharging System (RSS) provides the 1250sc with class leading power and torque outputs. But, just as important as outright power is the way the power is delivered. RSS provides smooth controllable power responding to the riders commands.

At the heart of RSS lies the patented Rotrex (C15-60) centrifugal supercharger unit. This supercharger provides the highest levels of efficiency and performance in a compact, light weight unit. This unit weights only 6.4 lbs. and is no larger than a typical small car alternator. Combined are a high efficiency, highly developed "Turbo" centrifugal compressor section, mated to a patented planetary roller drive mechanism. This drive mechanism provides an extremely high step-up ratio of 12.7/1 as well as very low noise output, low wear and excellent reliability.

The RSS is designed to provide boost upon rider demand. A special bypass valve is employed to recirculate unneeded air back into the compressor during certain operating ranges such as idle, cruise and deceleration, this effectively disconnects and unloads the supercharger, thus reducing parasitic drag and increasing engine efficiency. In this mode, the engine operates as its stock normally aspirated self.

Under acceleration the bypass valve closes allowing compressor air to pressurize the intake plenum. The Rotrex supercharger delivers air in proportion to its driven speed. As engine speed increases the supercharger air output increases proportionally. This strategy is responsible for the extraordinarily smooth and linear power delivery. Power increases in proportion to engine RPM all the way to redline.

RSS enables efficient engine operation with stock emission output levels. Due to the relatively low boost levels of the RSS and low intake charge temperature increase relative to other supercharger types, an intake charge intercooler is eliminated, contributing to a lighter and more compact system.

RSS Technology = power + control + efficiency
The specialy engineered supercharger places the full potential of the engine in the hands of the rider with near instant response.

The Engine (production version)
The heart and soul of a motorcycle is its engine. It determines the feeling and overall character of a motorcycle. Just as important as outright power is the way that power is delivered and the sound emitted from the exhaust, giving the motorcycle its voice.

The Roehr 1250sc is powered by a 180hp, specially developed version of the Harley-Davidson V-Rod engine. The engine was designed by Harley Davidson in cooperation with Porsche AG. It is loosely based on the Harley-Davidson VR1000 superbike engine. The design goal was to create a new engine that was modern, powerful and reliable providing HD with an engine for the future.

The result was an 1130cc (now available in 1250cc) liquid cooled, DOHC, eight valve, 60 degree, V-Twin engine with a performance like large bore short stroke architecture. This engine was named the "revolution" engine.

The Revolution engine debuted in the 2002 Harley-Davidson V-rod power cruiser and was widely praised for its excellent power, near perfect power delivery and soul stirring exhaust note.
It is only fitting that the Roehr 1250sc would take this great American power plant back to its roots and unleash its racing bloodline in a new American superbike.

Roehr Motorcycles has applied its Roehr Supercharging System (RSS) technology to enhance this engine's power output without changing the character of its power delivery, resulting in a truly thrilling riding experience. The result is the most powerful American production motorcycle engine available.

Precision engineering and tuned for the road or track. Hear it. Feel the power. Everything you dreamed of in a superbike will change.

Roehr Bi-Metal Frame Technology
The Roehr 1250sc features a unique Bi-Metal beam frame. The frame is constructed of 4130 Chrome-Moly steel and 6061 T6 Aluminum. This method allows each material to be used in areas of the frame that their material characteristics are best suited.

A motorcycle frame needs to be strong, stiff and light weight, but also needs to flex just enough under certain conditions. This controlled flex provides essential information, providing the rider with added confidence near the limits of tire grip. Additionally, this flex also adds a level of dampening which is especially beneficial when the motorcycle is leaned over on the edges of the tires. Under these conditions the motorcycle's suspension effectiveness is dramatically reduced due to road forces no longer acting on the suspension at parallel angles.

The Roehr Bi-metal frame provides a level of dampening that allows the tire to better follow road irregularities under these conditions
Through the use of computer assisted finite element analysis, the Bi-metal frame was designed using large section, thin wall, 4130 steel, main chassis beams to provide a stiff yet soft structure that is bonded and bolted to extremely strong, stiff yet light weight billet aluminum swing arm pivot plates.

By combining these materials into one structure, the Roehr Bi-Metal frame provides the ultimate combination of strength, stiffness, controlled flex and light weight. This unique frame technology is a major contributor to the stellar handling characteristics of the Roehr 1250sc.
Strength of structure in a unique frame that ensures maximum stability and control on the track and on the road.

Vespa GTS300 I.E., 2012

Vespa GTS300 I.E., 2012

Vespa GTS, the patriarch of modern Vespa sportiness, grows in engine size and performance. The 300 engine - the most powerful Vespa has ever adopted - adds aggressiveness and power to the elegance of the design.

The Vespa GTS 300 presents itself as a distinctive choice among GT scooters. It is the only one that can offer all the class and exclusivity of Vespa, but also agility and dynamic features, combined with performance and technological standards of the 300 class.

The Design
The lines of the shield, strictly in steel, are those of the successful Vespa GTS series which, launched in 2005, redefined the technical and aesthetic standards of the most sporty Vespa. The rear light group, the rich instrument panel, the large saddle with a dynamic line, the evocative rear luggage rack, are just some of the distinctive signs of a decisive and strong charactered Vespa.
The original placement of the daylight running light in the cowl by the horn is an explicit reminder of the Vespas from the 1950s which gives a further touch of elegance to this version.

At the front, Vespa GTS 300 can be immediately picked out of a crowd by the chromed moulding on the mudguard. The visual flow of the modern and decisive lines of the cowls, the round and sloping front headlight, the passenger footrests which fold out from the body, are characteristics which make the Vespa unique and they are highlighted in the line of the new GTS 300 i.e.

Vespa GTS maintains the fundamental characteristics which makes every Vespa a unique vehicle in the scooter world: the monocoque body, made entirely from steel: a construction philosophy which ensures legendary sturdiness, reliability and superior rigidity, all to the advantage of riding precision.
Its perfect ergonomics and the natural seating position have always contributed to the easy ride of the Vespa. The saddle of the new

Vespa GTS provides superior comfort even on medium to long routes. The meticulously crafted trimmings and double stitching bear witness to the care and attention to detail which makes every Vespa stand out.

The spacious storage compartment under the saddle can hold two demi-jet helmets plus other objects, while the space in the leg shield back plate is ideal for smaller objects such as sunglasses, documents, mobile phone and anything else that the rider may need to keep within reach. The analogue instrument panel is practical and functional with white numbers which contrast well against the black background.

Body and chassis architecture
The Vespa body, made entirely in steel, also acts as the monocoque chassis. Since 1946 it has been the characteristic which has always made Vespa stand out from other scooters.

Within the body of the Vespa GTS 300 Super, beneath the seat, is the fuel tank. In spite of an impressive 9.2 litre capacity offering outstanding range, the tank does not compromise under-seat storage space or access to the engine once the helmet carrier has been lifted off (no tools required). Complementing the legendary rigidity of the steel body, the Vespa GTS 300 Super boasts a chassis architecture featuring 12" wheels shod with a 120/70 tyre at the front and a 130/70 tyre at the rear.

The front suspension uses the classic link arm layout, a traditional feature in Vespa history with excellent dynamic functional characteristics. At the rear, two pre-load adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers are fixed to the transmission crankcase and exhaust support. Vespa GTS 300 boasts high braking power thanks to two 220 mm discs.

Model Highlights

A new 300 engine for Vespa GTS
The new 300, single cylinder 4 stroke, 4 valve, liquid cooled, electronic injection engine provides maximum power of 22 HP at 7,500 rpm and puts out a maximum torque of 22.3 Nm at just 5,000 rpm: values which guarantee the Vespa GTS quick throttle response and extremely brilliant performance, making it an ideal vehicle both in city traffic and for touring, even at long range, in complete comfort, whether alone or with a passenger.

The new Vespa GTS engine is fast, sporty, spirited and silky smooth thanks to electronic fuel injection, but also silent running and compliant with the strictest anti-emissions standards (Euro3). An oil bath free wheel system reduces noise on starting, while normal use is attenuated by new engine casings, that also contributed to improved transmission cooling.

The fastest most technologically advanced Vespa ever.

Harley-Davidson FXDB Dyna Street Bob, 2012

  •  Harley-Davidson FXDB Dyna Street Bob, 2012

The Big Twin power, authentic classic bobber style, stripped to pure essentials

The Street Bob goes straight back to the minimalist roots of the bobber scene. Stripped down to the bare essentials, and as “naked” as the law allows, the key word here is “pure” with no parts that aren’t absolutely necessary. Since its introduction, this attitude-laden motorcycle has taken the custom world by storm with mini ape-hanger handlebar, Fat Bob fuel tank, solo seat, mid-mounted foot controls and a big, black Twin Cam 96 engine.

Completely redesigned in 2009, the Street Bob goes straight back to the minimalist roots of the bobber scene. Stripped down to the bare essentials, and as “naked” as the law allows, the Street Bob goes right to the heart of riding with no distractions along the way.

Since its introduction, the attitude-laden motorcycle has taken the custom world by storm with mini ape-hanger handlebar, Fat Bob fuel tank, solo seat, mid-mounted foot controls and a big, black Twin Cam 96 engine.

BOBBER SOLO SEAT
True to the old school bobber look, a slammed solo seat drops you in nice and snug to the bike and close to the pavement beneath you. It's the ultimate bond with the road and your machine. Get the quintessential bobber style without sacrificing the comfort of the ride.

CHOPPED REAR FENDER
Lose the support covers and a good chunk of metal and you get another important feature of the bobber from yesteryear: the chopped rear fender. Stripped down clean, this fender offers just enough surface for low-profile taillights and a license plate bracket. Give other riders more tire to look at when you blow past them.

BLACKED OUT RIMS
Raw, gritty and no-nonsense—the Street Bob motorcycle features black laced steel wheels and stainless steel spokes with an aggressive 19' wheel up front to lead your way out of the mundane. Blacked out like the Harley-Davidson Twin Cam engine, these wheels make a bold statement and provide a smooth, true ride.

SAUSAGE TAILLIGHT
The devil is in the details when it comes to the essence of the period bobber—even at the tail end of the bike. The sausage taillight with attached license plate bracket was introduced back in the '40s, and it is still going strong today to capture that slick, nostalgic look.

FUEL TANK MEDALLIONS
When it comes to motorcycles, there's one name that people will never mistake for another: Harley-Davidson. The Street Bob model features fuel tank medallions that ooze the iconic Harley-Davidson attitude. Consider it your badge of honor bolted on the side of the fuel tank so everyone can see exactly how you roll.

PREMIUM PAINT
Up to two times thicker than the competition, custom quality paint comes standard on all Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Clearcoat layering up to five mils deep. Bigger metal flakes. Unique effects in the sunglo and pearl colors. Skimping simply is not in our vocabulary

HAND FINISHED FUEL TANK
All Harley-Davidson fuel tanks are finished by hand—that's what makes them stand out from the competition. Their seamless design and unmatched style are unique among all motorcycles on the road. The tanks are one of the first and last things people notice when they lay their eyes on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle—so we make it worth their time.

MINI 'APE-HANGER' HANDLEBAR
Grab hold of the stainless steel mini ape-hanger handlebar and put your fists way up in the wind—it'll take you back to the good old days of post-war bobbers. And for that clean and minimalist, bobber look, the wires are routed inside the steel.

TWIN CAM 96 ENGINE HERITAGE
The knowledge of what makes an engine truly move a rider runs deep at The Motor Company, and it was put to good use when we created the Twin Cam 96 engine. We sweated bullets perfecting every cubic inch, pushing design and technology forward.
And we did it all without compromising one bit of Harley-Davidson's unique styling. Evolved, yet carrying on the legacy of the Flathead, Knucklehead, Panhead, Shovelhead, Evolution and Twin Cam 88 engines that came before. The performance and durability are a direct result of the untold miles logged on the V-Twin since 1909, and the proud heritage that comes from a century's worth of commitment to life on two wheels.

TWIN CAM 96 ENGINE INNOVATION
Fire up the Twin Cam 96 engine and feel the low-end torque unleashed. Thanks to the lightweight piston design, delivery of the added power is more refined than ever. Then put your foot on the shifter and feel how the engine and Six-Speed Cruise Drive® transmission were designed to work together. Six speeds. A strong driveline and strong internal parts. Low routine maintenance. And a low cruising rpm couldn't feel better.

PURE HARLEY-DAVIDSON STYLING
Feast your eyes on the Twin Cam 96 engine and there's no mistaking its roots. This is authentic Harley-Davidson style through and through with an attention to detail you won't find from any other motorcycle company. Black powder-coated heads and cylinders are highlighted by polished rocker covers. It's a jewel machined out of metal. Pure. Dripping with power.
From the classic edge of the cooling fins to the clean lines of cases and covers—the Twin Cam 96 engine makes an ironclad statement to holding on to what's right and staying true to what satisfies the rider.

SIX-SPEED CRUISE DRIVE
You want a ride that rumbles—not begs for mercy—when you lean on it a little. The Six-Speed Cruise Drive transmission provides smooth, quiet shifting and reduces engine speed on the highway, so you get a better match between engine turnover and road speed. It's a rare ride when a bike responds like this, and a low growl goes a long way when you're opening up the road ahead.

ARTFULLY HIDDEN TECHNOLOGY
Harley-Davidson leverages the latest in technology without compromising style and function. That means we hide electronics. The whole wiring harness is skillfully routed behind the jewels of the bike—the tank, engine and all the other eye-popping features you want to see. It's just another way The Motor Company goes the extra mile to give its bikes that premium, top-of-the-line fit and finish.

INTUITIVE CONTROLS
Hand controls on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle are incredibly intuitive. The turn signals are self-canceling and, based on the speed and angle of the motorcycle, they know how long to stay on. Engaging the controls quickly becomes second nature so you can focus less on turning off your signal and more on basking in the freedom of the ride.

ANTI-LOCK BRAKES (OPTIONAL)
You may be cruising with swagger, but you know safety counts. This sophisticated, factory-installed ABS gives 'stopping power' a double meaning. Its components are tastefully hidden within the wheel hub, so you'll still turn heads with clean, streamlined design. But more importantly, you get certainty in the saddle knowing your bike's going to behave when you need it. Offered as a part of the 'Security Package' (which includes the H-D Smart Security System).

H-D SMART SECURITY SYSTEM (OPTIONAL)
The factory-installed next-generation security system features a hands-free fob that automatically arms and disarms the vehicle electronic security functions as you approach and walk away from the bike. Stick the fob on your ignition key ring and let it do all the work. It's this attention to details and security that make Harley-Davidson motorcycles unique. Offered as a part of the 'Security Package' (which includes Anti-Lock Brakes).

ADJUSTABLE SUSPENSION
Preload is easily adjusted with a spanner wrench to make your suspension suit you and your riding style. The slammed low rear suspension gives you a more laid-back riding position and style. Low-profile, kicked back for profiling down the boulevard and hugging corners.

TUNED TO BE RIDDEN
Harley-Davidson motorcycles are different from any other bike out on the road. There's a balance to them. The steering, the maneuverability—it's all in concert. And each Harley-Davidson® model is tuned differently to create a unique riding experience for each individual no matter which bike they swing their leg over. Let's face it, we didn't get to where we are by being like everyone else.

MICHELIN SCORCHER TIRES
New Michelin Scorcher Tires provide the superior performance, sensational grip, impressive durability and excellent handling expected on a race-bred bike. The exclusive deep-cut tread design improves grip and water evacuation capability. Grip performance and durability is also enhanced by the tire's rubber compounds, which use the latest generation of Michelin synthetic polymers. Under the rear rubber, aramid belts are used to stabilize your ride, which helps inspire confidence in handling.

MID-MOUNTED CONTROLS
Let your boots fall where they may, naturally to the mid-mounted controls and rider foot pegs on the Street Bob model. An easy reach and tight rider triangle is confidence-inspiring for new riders eager to set off on their journey and riders whose legs run slightly shorter than others.

SEAT ENGINEERING AND DESIGN
The seat is home for Harley-Davidson motorcycle riders. They want a seat that has unique style without sacrificing comfort. Because of that, Harley-Davidson invests a lot of time in researching, designing and testing seats so that every bike has just the right saddle.

ENGINE IDLE TEMPERATURE MANAGEMENT STRATEGY
Our motorcycles are built to be ridden. A lot. So that means that rider comfort is top of mind. Always. With the Engine Idle Temperature Management Strategy (EITMS) feature, the motorcycle automatically cuts fuel and fire from rear cylinder when idling, which helps reduce engine heat felt by rider and passenger. This feature can easily be turned on by your dealer.

Ural M70 Solo Limited Edition, 2012

  • Ural M70 Solo Limited Edition, 2012

Review
It has become a tradition that every fall come out with limited edition series.
Celebrate 70th anniversary of the legendary Irbit Motorcycle Factory and introduce two very special models: M70 Solo Limited Edition with sidecar and M70 Solo Limited Edition solo.

The motorcycle pays homage to its veteran predecessor, the original M72. The M72 was essentially a copy of a BMW R71, the best sidecar motorcycle of the time. A rugged, all terrain motorcycle, capable of carrying three people and heavy loads, was ideal for mobile troops.

The first M72's built by the Irbit Factory were sent to the front lines in February of 1942 and were used by the troops in the Battle of Stalingrad. 9,799 M72's served in reconnaissance and dispatch detachments, and were also used to evacuate the wounded from battle fields during the War. Read more about M72 and IMZ history.

M70 Solo Limited Edition is based on the Retro model. It is painted in olive drab, the sidecar has a machine gun mount and its tonneau cover is made of canvas similar to the one used on the M72. Just like the M72 it also includes a spare wheel and shovel. The tear drop gas tank is decorated with a replica of the first factory badge (circa 1956). The motorcycle features a tractor style seat and luggage rack on the rear fender. Each anniversary M70 Solo Limited Edition also comes with a special commemorative plaque.

While M70 Solo Limited Edition keeps the aesthetics of the original M72, it is also an extraordinary road going sidecar motorcycle. The M70 Solo Limited Edition comes equipped with 18" aluminum rims, 40 mm Marzochhi telescopic forks, Sachs shocks, Brembo front disc brake, and other modern features. A longer wheel base and lower sitting sidecar make this model the fastest and best handling Ural.

Ural Introduces 70th Anniversary Edition Motorcycles
Ural, the legendary Russian manufacturer of sidecar motorcycles celebrates its 70th anniversary with two special edition models.

It was a brutally cold November of 1941. The Nazis were at the outskirts of Moscow, preparing for the all-in assault on the Soviet capital. At the same moment, in a small town of Irbit, located on the eastern slopes of the Ural Mountains, 2000kms away from Moscow, a freight train arrived with the machinery, materials, and drawing boards. With this train came people with an impossible task to build a factory in the middle of a Siberian winter and produce combat sidecar motorcycles for the Red Army.

The motorcycle that was to be built at the Irbit factory was called M72. The M72 was essentially a copy of a BMW R71, the best sidecar motorcycle of the time. A rugged, all terrain motorcycle, capable of carrying three people and heavy loads, was ideal for mobile troops. The Nazis were to be beaten with their own weapon!

The first motorcycles built by the Irbit Factory were sent to the front lines in the middle of 1942 and were used by the troops in the Battle of Stalingrad. During the War, 9,799 M72’s served in reconnaissance and dispatch detachments, and were also used to evacuate the wounded from battle fields.

After the war the factory continued producing motorcycles with sidecars and built over 3 million outfits. People who laid the foundation of the factory would have never imagined that 70 years later this factory would remain the only sidecar motorcycle manufacturer in the world and Ural would become a cult motorcycle.

The M70 Solo Limited Edition is based on the Retro model and is offered in sidecar and solo versions. M70 Solo Limited Edition is not a copy of the original M72, but it bears resemblance to its veteran predecessor. The motorcycle is painted in olive drab, the sidecar has a machine gun mount and its tonneau cover is made of canvas similar to the one used on the M72. Just like the M72 it also includes a spare wheel and shovel. The tear drop gas tank is decorated with a replica of the original factory badge.

The M70 Solo Limited Edition comes equipped with 18” aluminum rims, 40 mm Marzochhi telescopic forks, Sachs shocks, Brembo front disc brake, and other modern features. A longer wheel base and lower sitting sidecar make this model the fastest and best handling Ural.
The total Anniversary Edition production run is 30 sidecar and only 10 solo motorcycles.

Ural Gear-Up, 2012

  •  Ural Gear-Up, 2012

Just like  the Patrol, with its on-demand sidecar drive, Gear-Up's origins trace back to the military past of the Ural motorcycle family. The Gear-Up combination is as tough as a Russian AK-47!

Despite its clearly military upbringing, the Gear-Up is equally fit for more peaceful missions, such as fishing or hunting trips. If fishing or hunting is not your forte, you can still amaze your friends with the motorcycle's ability to blaze through mud, sand and snow.
